Ads

I took a bit of time today to mock up an ad, as we have another deadline for RubberStampMadness...

I love these images (from RaquelMasri, DesignsbyGinaLouise, and RedHotPottery), as well as this one of Adornyourself's buttons (but the image doesn't seem to show up well at this size, unfortunately.) Loden took a look at this mockup and said that it looks as though we sell ceramics. Sigh - I think he is right. I think we will have to pull together some black and white stamp images and add color. We shall see!

More stamps in clay...

Red Hot Pottery has some more works in ceramics that incorporate our stamps - you can click on the images below to see the listings:

Our Stamps on Clay

(Originally posted Monday, February 11, 2008)

Whoo! RedHotPottery has just sent me a note, letting me know that something she made with our stamps is up on her Etsy store. Click on the image to see the listing:

I am thrilled to see this - and the blue glaze is gorgeous!

I think I may have to buy one of these at some point...

Sedona, Grand Canyon and Ceramic Artists

(Originally posted on Feb 2, 2008)

I was in Arizona in mid-January for a conference and had a few days on my own over the weekend of the 19th. I went to Sedona, as I always do when I have the chance, and also up to the Grand Canyon. Click the image below to see the photo album:

So I got a kick when I was recently contacted by a ceramic artist based in Sedona who wanted some of our stamps. Her business is called Red Hot Pottery and you can click here to visit her store on Etsy. She also has a blog here on blogspot.

Shortly after that, I sold a set to another ceramic artist: Adornyourself.etsy.com. She is based in Canada and is new to Etsy, although not new to pottery.

Although we focus on the fact that our stamps can be used for velvet, we have also tried to emphasize that they can be used on other materials as well - clay being one of them. We keep meaning to join the local pottery studio this season so that we can actually play with the stamps and clay ourselves, so that we can post examples, and possibly also have some pieces to sell. We are far from proficient with clay... and have not done anything with clay for years. I was very excited to have ceramic artists purchase stamps and communicated a bit with them. I can't wait to see what they create, as their work is lovely.

And now I really should get back to work!
